Odiyan trailer to be released by Mammootty!!

The highly anticipated Odiyan is finally hitting screens this October. This Mohanlal starrrer is unarguably one of the most awaited Malayalam movies in recent years. Teasing the audience’s patience, the makers have been releasing posters and teasers in regular intervals. As per latest reports, the movie’s trailer will be released on August 15 by none other than megastar Mammootty. Reportedly, this upcoming trailer is 1.42 minutes long and it promises to be a real treat for the fans.

Odiyan, directed by VA Shrikumar Menon is based on the lives of odiyans, whose stories are popular in Kerala’s folklore. Odiyans are people who practice odividya, which is a kind of black magic used to tackle enemies. National award winner Harikrishnan has scripted the movie. This is the first time a movie is being based on odiyans, which has naturally raised the curiosity among the audience.

According to the makers, Odiyan is a mass entertainer with shades of romance, fantasy and magical realism. Mohanlal, Prakash Raj and Manju Warrier play the major roles Manoj Joshi, Narain, Innocent, Kailas, Sana Althaf, Siddique and Nandu are also part of the supporting cast. Its technical crew includes cinematographer Shaji Kumar, editor Johnkutty, action choreographer Peter Hein, art director Prashanth Madhav and composers M Jayachandran and Sam CS (background score).

Antony Perumbavoor is producing Odiyan under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. The movie is scheduled for a grand release on October 11.
