Official: Gang Leader fame Priyanka Arul Mohan signed for Suriya 40

Suriya’s new film with director Pandiraj is gearing up to start rolling. Sun Pictures is producing the film, which has been tentatively titled as ‘Suriya 40’. For the last few weeks, there have been speculations about ‘Gang Leader’ fame Priyanka Arul Mohan being approached to play the female lead’s role. Finally, the official confirmation was made on Thursday.

‘Suriya 40’ will be Priyanka’s second Tamil film. She is making her debut with ‘Doctor’, in which she is paired with Sivakarthikeyan. The actress shot to fame with the hit Telugu film ‘Gang Leader’. Apparently, director Pandiraj was impressed with her performance in it and decided to cast her.

‘Suriya 40’ is expected to be a mass commercial entertainer that appeals to all sections of the audience. It is most likely to be on lines of Pandiraj’s blockbuster films ‘Kadaikutty Singam’ and ‘Namma Veettu Pillai’. The director has retained composer D Imman for this film as well.
