Official: Malayali actors Shine Tom Chacko and Aparna Das join Beast team

Vijay’s ‘Beast’ is getting bigger by the day. Last day, the makers announced the names of new cast members. Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, Ankur Ajit Vikal, VTV Ganesh, Liliput Faruqui and Malayali actors Shine Tom Chacko and Aparna Das have joined the team. The latter two are making their Tamil debut with this film.

Shine’s performances in ‘Ishq’, ‘Unda’ and ‘Love’ were widely praised and it has clearly helped him bagging a role in ‘Beast’. Likewise, Aparna is also noted for her roles in the Fahadh Faasil starrer ‘Njan Prakashan’ and ‘Manoharam’. Both of them couldn’t have asked for a bigger launch in Tamil.

‘Beast’ is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of ‘Kolamavu Kokila’ fame. Pooja Hegde of ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo’ fame is paired with Vijay. The makers have already shot quite a few portions featuring them including a song.

Produced by Sun Pictures, ‘Beast’ is planned as a pan-Indian project. It is touted to be a big-budget action thriller in which Vijay reportedly plays a con-agent. The film has Anirudh Ravichander as the music director and cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa.
