Official: Rajinikanth’s next is with Jai Bhim director

Superstar Rajinikanth is set to team up with Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel for his next. Tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 170’, the project was officially announced on producer Subaskaran’s birthday. His banner, Lyca Productions will be backing it. Anirudh Ravichander has been confirmed as the music director and the makers are planning to start shooting soon.

Rajinikanth is also part of his daughter Aishwarya’s next film ‘Laal Salaam’, which has Vikranth as Vishnu Vishal as the leads. Lyca Productions is bankrolling that project as well. Rajinikanth is said to be playing an extended cameo in it.

Apart from that, he has ‘Jailer’ coming up. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, it is a hugely-hyped film. Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan and Vasanth Ravi also star in the Sun Pictures-backed film. The makers are yet to announce their release plans.
