Official: Vijay’s Beast release date announced

The makers of Vijay starrer ‘Beast’ have officially announced April 13 as the release date. The announcement was made by releasing a new poster featuring Vijay with a sniper gun. Last day, the film cleared the censors with a U/A certificate.

With ‘Beast’ release date announced, the stage is set for a massive box office clash with ‘KGF: Chapter 2’. The Yash-starrer is scheduled to hit screens on April 14. Both the films have massive pre-release hype and it will be interesting to see which of the two emerge as the winner.

‘Beast’, written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is touted to be a fun-filled action entertainer made on a lavish scale. Vijay is reportedly playing a con-agent’s role in the film. The cast includes Pooja Hegde as the female lead and ace filmmaker Selvaraghavan in another prominent role. Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko, Aparna Das, Ankur Ajit Vikal, VTV Ganesh, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley and Liliput Faruqui will be seen in supporting roles.
