Oppam become the biggest hit of the year surpassing Jocobinte Swargarajyam

Oppam, the Mohanlal starrer continues to break records here in Mollywood. Oppam had already broken two records set by Nivin Pauly starrer blockbuster named Premam. At first it become the fastest 10 crore grossing movie in Malayalam, overtaking Premam and then become the fastest 20 crore grossing movie in Malayalam, again surpassing Premam record.

Now, Oppam had broken the record of Nivin Pauly’s movie Jacobinte Swargarajyam by becoming the biggest hit of this year by surpassing the lifetime Kerala gross of Jacobinte Swargarajyam in just 13 days run here in Kerala.

Vineeth Sreenivasan directorial Nivin Pauly starrer Jacobinte Swargarajyam had released in this year April as a Vishu release in Mollywood. The film had got great reviews and become the biggest hit of this year by grossing 22cr+ from Kerala alone in its lifetime run here. Mohanlal-Priyadrashan movie Oppam had grossed above 22 crore from just 13 days from Kerala and become the biggest hit this year in Mollywood, till now.

Oppam is getting great occupancy status in working days as well and it is expected to gross more than 30 crore before the next big releases like Pulimurugan and Thoppil Joppan comes here. The rest of India figure of the movie is not yet available and the film will start releasing in overseas market from September 23rd. It will have a record release in overseas market as well.
