Oru Mexican Aparatha director Tom Emmatty turns actor with Back 2 Life!

Tovino Thomas starrer Oru Mexican Aparatha, which was released earlier this year, was a smashing success at the box office. The movie was written and directed by debutant Tom Emmatty. The director will be next seen in front of the camera, as an actor.

Tom Emmatty is making his acting debut with Back 2 Life, a fictionalized thriller directed by VFX supervisor Sidhil Subramanian. Back 2 Life explores the theme of existence of life after the end of the world; something we have seen only in Hollywood films. Director Sidhil is an experienced technician who has been in the film industry for a long time now. He has worked as a creative director and VFX supervisor in many movies.

Reportedly, Back 2 Life had an extensive post production period of about 3 years for the VFX works. Master Minon, who won the National award for his performance in 101 Chodhyangal, is playing a prominent role in Back 2 Life. Tom Emmatty is playing the antagonist in this film which also stars Sneha Unnikrishnan and Jiffy Jose in supporting roles.

Prakash Velayudhan is handling the cinematography for this movie jointly produced by Team Media’s Infoprism and Raam Entertainment. Oru Mexican Aparatha fame Manikandan Ayyappa has composed the theme song and Mohammad Ali is in charge of the background score.

Sidhil Subramanian’s next film is Chengazhi Nambiar, a big budget period drama. The movie is being planned on a massive scale with a a whopping budget of Rs 100 crores. Currently it’s pre-production works are underway.
