Parvathy to head to US for doing a direction course

After proving her mettle as an actor, National award winner Parvathy is now set to showcase her skills as a filmmaker. The actress has often stressed about her wish to direct a film some day and it is finally materializing. As per latest reports, Parvathy’s maiden directorial will begin by the end of this year or early next year. Prior to that, to prep herself up for the new challenge, the actress will be heading to the US for doing a two-month long filmmaking course.

Parvthay has also opted out of three already committed films to concentrate more on her directorial debut. She is also co-scripting the film. She currently has zeroed in two subjects – one with a strong political background and the other one, a thriller that explores the psychological space between two people. Both the film demands immense research and Parvathy is currently on it. An official announcement regarding the cast and crew is expected to be made in a few months time.

On the acting front, Parvathy recently shot for ‘Rachiyamma’, a segment directed by Venu as part of an anthology. ‘Varthamanam’ directed by Sidhartha Siva is her other film that is slated for release this year. She will also be seen in a cameo role in ‘Halal Love Story’ directed by Zakariya.
