Pathonpathaam Noottandu actress Kayadu Lohar to play the female lead in Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu

Simbu and Gautham Vasudev Menon are teaming up for a new film titled as ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’. Its shoot got commenced recently. Buzz is that Kayadu Lohar will be seen as the female lead in this film. She has previously acted in the Kannada film ‘Mugilpete’. She is also essaying the female lead’s part in the upcoming Malayalam biggie ‘Pathonpathaam Noottandu’.

‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ promises to be a completely different film from Gautham Menon’s usual works. Its first look poster had Simbu in a stunning makeover as actor shed close to 15 kgs for this role. Reports suggest that the film is a rural action-drama and it is written by Jeyamohan.

AR Rahman is composing the music for this film. It is the third time collaboration of AR Rahman, Simbu and Gautham Menon after ‘Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya’ and ‘Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada. Cinematography is by ‘Lucia’ fame Siddhartha Nuni. Art director Rajeevan, lyricist Thamarai, editor Anthony and costume designer Uthara Menon are also part of the team.
