Petta censored U/A; All set for Pongal release

Rajinikanth’s ‘Petta’ has been censored with U/A certificate. The movie is now all set for Pongal release, this coming January. Thala Ajith’s ‘Viswasam’ is also set for release in the same period. Needless to say, Kollywood is set to witness a massive box office clash. Traditionally, Tamil industry has relied heavily on the Pongal season as the long holiday period ensures great business at the box office. The slot is normally reserved for big star films but only rarely have two such biggies clashed. The face-off between ‘Petta’ and ‘Viswasam’ is something that trade experts are eagerly looking forward to.

‘Viswasam’ is a regular commercial entertainer directed by Siva. Ajith reportedly plays a dual role in the movie that has Nayanthara as the female lead. ‘Petta’ is a multi-starrer directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Apart from Rajinikanth, the movie boasts of a incredible star cast comprising of Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Simran, Sasikumar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bobby Simha and Malavika Mohanan.
