Ponniyin Selvan Malayalam version to have voice over by Mammootty

Last day, at the Kerala launch event of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, director Mani Ratnam revealed that Mammootty has lent his voiceover for the film’s Malayalam version. He thanked the ‘Thalapathi’ actor for the kind gesture. Mani Ratnam is quoted saying, “I called him up one day and told him that I need somebody to introduce Ponniyin Selvan in the Malayalam version with a voice over. He didn’t even think twice and immediately asked me to send it to him.”

With ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ (PS 1) set to storm screens on September 30, the makers have been actively promoting the film, on the ground and through social medias. The press meet at Thiruvananthapuram was held by Mani Ratnam, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Trisha, Karthi and Babu Antony.

Others in the cast include Aishwarya Rai, Parthiban, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Jayachitra, Rahman, Vikram Prabhu, Lal, Sarath Kumar, Babu Antony, Jayachitra, Riyaz Khan, and Ashwin Kakumanu.
