It appears that Pranav Mohanlal is keen on concentrating his career as an assistant director. The latest news is that Pranav Mohanlal will work as an assistant director in Jeethu Joseph’s next movie ‘Life of Josutty’ which has Janapriya Nayakan Dileep in the lead role.  The crew of the movie as made it public through the movie’s official Facebook page. This should not surprise anyone since Pranav has already assisted Jeethu in the Tamil version of Drishyam.

Pranav is one of the most talked about names in Malayalam film industry since he is the son of Mohanlal. Malayalam fans expected Pranav to build up his career as an actor.  Their expectations reached sky high when Pranav appeared in a couple of movies as a child artist. This naturally stirred up the question as to when Pranav will make his official entry into the movies as a main lead. However; Pranav had other plans and opted to work behind the camera. The news that Pranav has joined Jeethu Joseph for the movie Paapanasham generated a lot of buzz as it was totally unexpected. Jeethu Joseph spoke highly of Pranav and praised him for being a thorough professional and a passionate learner.  It is quite safe to assume from the recent developments that Pranav is looking to make a career as a director.

As for the movie Life of Josutty, the movie depicts the life of an ordinary farmer Josutty who is attached to his family.  The movie gives a vivid description of the different phases of his life. Jyothi Krishna and Rachana Narayanankutty will play the female protagonists in the movie. Suraj Venjaraamoodu, Chembil Ashokan, Hareesh Peradi and many other actors will also partake in the movie as the supporting cast. For the first time, Jeethu will work solely as a director and will not get involved in the script work. Rajesh Varma will set the story and the screenplay in order for the movie. The movie is said to be a pure entertainer.

Dileep and Jeethu have already worked in the movie My Boss which was also a comedy entertainer. The movie was a huge financial success and got positive reviews from both the audience and the critics. They would be hoping to repeat their success with this movie.
