Prithviraj in veteran filmmaker Viji Thampi’s next!

Prithviraj is arguably the busiset actor in Mollywood currently. He already has a handful of projects as an actor apart from his directorial commitment- Lucifer. If reports are to be believed, Prithviraj has committed for yet another film. Veteran filmmaker Viji Thampi will be directing this movie, which is said to be the biggest in the actor’s career.

Reports about Viji Thampi planning a movie with Prithviraj have been doing the rounds for many years now. Back in 2010, it was announced that they will be teaming up for a movie based on Velu Thampi Dalawa, a famous rebel who fought against the British East India Company.

Renji Panicker was reported to be scripting this period film and Rejaputra Renjith was said to be producing it. But the ambitious project was stalled in its initial stages itself and there were no further follow-ups. Now we are getting trustworthy reports that the veteran filmmaker is planning to revive this project once again. He had taken a long break from cinema to do research works for this big budget film. Reportedly, Renji Panicker has finished scripting and they are planning to go on floors by 2019.

Prithviraj is yet to finish the final schedule of debutante Roshni Dinaker’s romantic film My Story. The movie scripted by Shankar Ramakrishnan stars Prithviraj’s Ennu Ninte Moideen co-star Parvathy as the female lead. RS Vimal’s big budget mythological film Karnan is currently in its pre-production stages.

Prithviraj has also kept aside two years for Blessy’s Aadujeevitham. He has alloted dates from November this year to March 2019 for Aadujeevitham. The movie will be shot in different schedules through the time span of which he will be undergoing multiple physical transformations. In between the schedules he will be working on his much awaited directorial debut Lucifer, starring Mohanlal in the lead. He will start shooting for Velu Thambi Dhalawa only after he wraps up Aadujeevitham. 

Prithviraj’s next release will be scenarist Jinu Abraham’s debut directorial Adam Joan. The movie, which also stars Bhavana, Narain and Mishti Chakraborty is slated to hit screens for this year’s Onam season.
