Prithviraj to play the lead in next Priyadarshan movie

Priyadarshan is one of the most popular directors in India who had made successes in all major film industries in India. He had made blockbusters in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi etc and he is been regarded as one of the most versatile director in India as well. He is now doing a film with his dearest friend Mohanlal, with who he had done many a number of films. Most probably, Mohanlal-Priyadarshan team is the most successful actor-director pair in India as well.

He is now making a film named Oppam with Mohanlal in the lead, in which Mohanlal plays a visually challenged man. After this project, Priyadarshan is all set to make a film with Young Super star Prithviraj in the lead, which will be produced by Maniyan Pillai Raju and the shooting of the film will be in Sri Lanka. More details about the film and the heroine of the film is kept as a suspense, says Maniyanpillai Raju.

Maniyanpillai Raju had produced a Prithvi Raj film named Pavada this year, which was directed by Marthandan and become a super hit as well. He had earlier produced Ananthabhadram as well with Prithvi Raj, way back in 2005. Maniyanpillai Raju had produced almost 10 films in Malayalam and most of the films were directed by Priyadarshan and Mohanlal played the hero in most of his production ventures.

Earlier Maniyanpillai Raju had produced films like Hello my dear wrong Number and Vellanakalude Nadu directed by Priyadarshan and Mohanlal played the lead in both films. Apart from that Mohanlal played the lead role in his films like Aey Auto. Chotta Mumbai and Oru Naal Varum too. This upcoming film will be Maniyanpillai Raju’s 3rd association with Priyadarshan and Prithviraj as a producer.

Earlier Priyadarshan had planned a movie which has Mohanlal and Prithviraj playing the lead and it is said to be a political thriller. That movie also said to be in the planning stage and Priya Darshan himself writing the screenplay of that film as per reports.
