Prithviraj to release Ranveer Singh’s 83 in Kerala

Ranveer Singh’s ’83’ based on India’s historic 1983 Cricket World Cup win is hugely awaited by film lovers across the country. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film has Ranveer Singh playing the role of the legendary Kapil Dev, who was the Indian team’s skipper then. The story narrates Kapil’s journey to become the captain of the India national team and winning the World Cup. ’83’ has a big star cast comprising of actors like Deepika Padukone, Pankaj Tripathi, Jiiva, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Ammy Virk, Jatin Sarna and Harrdy Sandhu among others.

The Kerala distribution rights of ’83’ has been acquired by actor Prithviraj. His Prithviraj Productions had earlier released big non-Malayalam films like ‘Petta’, ‘Bigil’, and ‘Master’. The company has also bagged the rights of the much-anticipated ‘KGF 2’ and the Rakshit Shetty starrer ‘777 Charlie’.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that the trailer of ’83’ will be out tomorrow (November 30). The film is scheduled for a grand worldwide release on December 24, 2021.
