Prithviraj reveals that he was offered an important role in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy

The Kerala press meet of ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ is currently being held in Kochi. Lead actor Chiranjeevi, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Murali Gopy, Arun Gopy, Krishnan Sethukumar and many other leading celebrities are attending the event. While speaking at the event, Prithviraj made a couple of startling revelations. He revealed that Chiranjeevi has bought the remake rights of ‘Lucifer’. He also added that, he was offered an important role in ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’. However, he could not be part of the film as he was busy with the works of his directorial debut, ‘Lucifer’.

‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ is an epic period film directed by Surender Reddy. It is based on late freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, who fought the British valiantly much before the Sepoy Mutiny. He was eventually hanged to death by the British government. While Chiranjeevi plays the titular role, the film’s massive cast also includes popular stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Tamannaah, Ravi Kishan, Niharika, Jagapathi Babu, Brahmaji and Kiccha Sudeep. There is a familiar face lacking from Malayalam industry and getting Prithviraj on board would have been perfect.

‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ is releasing in four languages – Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. As the release date is closing in, the makers have been aggressively promoting the film. This highly anticipated period film is set to hit screens worldwide on October 2.
