Prithviraj to share screen space with Mammootty in Raja 2?

Mammootty is turning 66 today and wishes have been pouring in for the megastar from all corners of the world. Several of his fans, well wishers and colleagues have taken to social media platforms to wish the legend. Actor Prithviraj, who is shooting in USA, wished Mammootty through his Facebook page. He shared a photo he had taken with Mammootty during the shoot of Pokkiriraja in his page. Along with the photo he has also mentioned about his eagerness to act with Mammootty again.

Prithviraj’s Facebook post reads,

Just turned Sept 7th here in Augusta USA! So here’s wishing a great one to the legend! Happy birthday Mammukka! Really looking forward to sharing screen space with you again! Can’t wait!

It is already known that director Vysakh is making Pokkiriraja’s sequel with Mammootty in the lead. The announcement was made on New Year’s day and it is said to be one of the biggest projects in Mammootty’s career. With Prithviraj hinting about his eagerness to act with Mammootty, there are talks about the former also being a part of Raja 2.

Pokkiri Raja, released in 2010, marked the directorial debut of Vysakh. Mammootty and Prithviraj played brothers in this mass entertainer. During Raja 2’s announcement, the director had revealed that it will not entirely be a sequel. Only the character is taken forward to the next part. The story, backdrop and the setting will be entirely different from Pokkiriraja.

Reportedly, Prithviraj has been approached to play a cameo role in the movie. An official confirmation about his casting is still awaited. The movie is being produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam under his banner Mulakupadam Films.
