Prithviraj Sukumaran Reveals He Once Developed a Film Idea for Shah Rukh Khan

Actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran recently shared his aspiration to direct Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. During an interview with Galata India, the Lucifer director revealed that he had initially developed an idea for a Hindi film, which he hoped to pitch to SRK. However, when an opportunity arose to discuss a project with Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, Prithviraj adapted the same concept for him. The filmmaker disclosed that he presented this idea to producer Subaskaran Allirajah during a meeting in London.

Although he refrained from sharing details about the script, Prithviraj’s interest in working with both Rajinikanth and Shah Rukh Khan highlights his ambition to helm larger-than-life projects with iconic stars. Having worked across multiple industries, he has a deep understanding of diverse cinematic sensibilities, making him a strong contender to direct a pan-Indian blockbuster featuring SRK or Rajinikanth in the future.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj is currently focused on Empuraan, the highly anticipated sequel to Lucifer, starring Mohanlal. He revealed that a significant portion of the film will be in Hindi to enhance its national and international appeal. With his directorial vision expanding beyond Malayalam cinema, fans eagerly await Prithviraj’s future collaborations with Bollywood’s biggest names.
