Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shanker Ramakrishnan to team up for a web series!

Over the last couple of years, there has been a major boom in digitial streaming platforms in India. Apart from feature films, cinephiles are also showing great interest towards web series. Multiple shows are currently being made in various languages. In Malayalam though, top league stars have still not entered the digital space.

Latest buzz is that Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shanker Ramakrishnan are set to team up for a web series. Talks within the industry suggest that the two are planning to adapt ‘Shadows Lie’, a fiction novel penned by Biju Antony into a full fledged series. Script works for the same have been progressing for the last few months. More details regarding the project are still awaited.

Shanker Ramakrishnan and Prithviraj have previously worked together in ‘Island Express’, a segment in the anthology film ‘Kerala Cafe’, and ‘Pathinettam Padi’. Prithviraj essayed a cameo role in the latter. Shanker had also announced a multilingual mythological film on lord Ayyappa with Prithviraj as the lead. Though it has been over a year since the announcement, no further updates have been made.
