In a recent character reveal video, Prithviraj Sukumaran unveiled intriguing details about his upcoming directorial venture, “L2: Empuraan”. The film, a sequel in the popular Lucifer franchise, promises to delve deeper into a world of international intrigue centered around a powerful gold and diamond nexus controlled by Khureshi Ab’raam. Sukumaran, who also stars alongside Mohanlal in the film, hinted at a complex narrative that challenges assumptions set by its predecessor.

“In Lucifer, you were introduced to Zayed Masood as a mercenary commando within Khureshi Ab’raam’s empire,” Sukumaran explained. “Empuraan will not only explore Zayed’s backstory but also expand on the dynamics between characters in a larger, more expansive backdrop.”

The director’s cryptic question, “Was there a bigger force than Khureshi Ab’raam all along?”, suggests a narrative twist that promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
