Prithviraj to team up with Guppy director John Paul George for a mass entertainer
Prithviraj Sukumaran has signed a new film with director John Paul George of ‘Guppy’ and ‘Ambili’ fame. Unlike the director’s previous films, which were feel-good flicks, this one will be a mass entertainer made on a big budget. Ashiq Usman is producing the film, which is scheduled to go on floors by April-May season.
Along with Prithviraj, the main cast also includes ‘Guppy’ actor Chethan Lal and popular playback singer Benny Dayal. The latter is making his acting debut with the film and it will be interesting to see how he performs. John Paul is scripting the film jointly with Arun Lal Ramachandran, who has previously penned films like ‘Vettah’, ‘Thank You’ and ‘Happy Journey’.
Nimish Ravi of ‘Kurup’ and ‘Luca’ fame is the DOP and music is by Vishnu Vijay, who was the composer in John’s previous two films as well. The makers are planning to shoot the film somewhere outside Kerala.
