Prithviraj is thrilled about Empuraan, both as a fan and a filmmaker!

As we already know, Mohanlal starrer ‘Lucifer’ is getting a second part titled as ‘Empuraan’. Writer Murali Gopy and director Prithviraj are currently working on its pre-production. Last day, Murali Gopy conveyed the full design brief of the film to Prithviraj. The latter, who is thrilled to bits, posted a selfie of the two in his social media handle and wrote,

Probably the day I first “saw” #EMPURAAN when your writer’s design starts forming an edited, colour corrected shape in your mind! I cannot wait to get this started… as much as a fan.. as a filmmaker!

‘Empuraan’ will have Mohanlal returning as Stephen Nedumbally aka Khureshi Ab’raam. Prithviraj will also be reprising his role of Zayed Masood. Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier and Indrajith Sukumaran are expected to be part of this film as well.

‘Empuraan’, as confirmed by the makers, will be a much bigger film than ‘Lucifer’ in terms of scale. Antony Perumbavoor is producing the film under the banner of Aashiravd Cinemas. There is still a lack of clarity regarding when shoot will begin as the trio of Mohanlal, Prithviraj and Murali Gopy have multiple other commitments lined up.
