Priya Mani to reprise Manju Warrier’s role in Asuran Telugu remake!

Last year’s highly acclaimed Tamil film ‘Asuran’ is all set to get remade in Telugu. Veteran star Venkatesh will be reprising Dhanush’s role from the original and it will be directed by Srikanth Addala. Suresh Productions and Kalaipuli S Thanu’s V Creations will be jointly producing the remake version.

Interestingly, the makers have got Priya Mani to play the female lead. She will be stepping in the shoes of Manju Warrier, who had delivered a powerful performance in ‘Asuran’. Priya Mani, a National award winner, seems to be an ideal choice as the female lead’s character has much prominence in the film.

Along with all the critical acclaim, ‘Asuran’ was also a phenomenal success at the box office. The Vetrimaaran directorial even entered the Rs 100 crore mark, thereby becoming Dhanush’s first film to achieve the feat. The makers of the Telugu version will be hoping to repeat the success.
