Priya Varrier is India’s most searched personality on Google in 2018

Priya Prakash Varrier, who became hugely popular after her wink went viral, is India’s most searched personality on Google this year. The teenage actress caught nationwide attention after the song’ ‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi…’ from the film ‘Oru Addar Love’ got released. She soon became an internet sensation with over 6.2 million followers on Instagram, and over 6.7 lakh followers on Facebook. She is currently endorsing various Indian and global brands such as OnePlus smartphones, South India shopping mall, Wonderla, and various apparel and jewellery brands as well.

Priya Varrier is followed by Priyanka Chopra’s spouse Nick Jonas in the list of most searched personalities. Priyanka herself holds the fourth position in the most searched personalities list on Google. Dance performer Sapna Choudhary is third i the list. Others in the top ten include Anand Ahuja, Sara Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Meghan Markle, Anup Jalota and Boney Kapoor .

Globally, Meghan Markle, the American actor turned Duchess of Sussex, who married Prince Harry earlier this year, topped the list of most searched people. The list also included names like Demi Lovato Sylvester Stallone, Logan Paul and Khloe Kardashian.
