Vijay’s much awaited film Puli is scheduled to release all over the world today and now the latest on the film says that the film is delayed due to some financial issues it has been facing. As per reports the show of the film in overseas screens has been cancelled and also the morning shows all over India is also cancelled. The license to the theaters is not given till now to download the film from satellite link and start the shows. The talks are going on to solve the issue as soon as possible.

There is talks that the distributor from Hyderabad had still not given the money to the producer and that is why they are not giving license to the local distributors in India. Overseas shows also can’t go on without the clearance from local distributors. Yesterday there was raid conducted on the house of the lead actor Vijay, director Chimbu Devan and Producer Shibu thameens and P T Selava Kumar. The whole time yesterday the team behind the film is under the scanner and interrogation of the income tax department and they did not even get the time to settle the financial issue regarding the film’s release and that is what caused this havoc now. Now it is expected that all the issues will be cleared by Noon and the shows will start all over India by afternoon.

Fans are waiting for the film to release from early morning and they had come to celebrate the film very early in theaters. But when they know about the cancellation of morning and fans shows, they all were quite disappointed and at some places it is reported that they went restless at theater officials as well. This is not the first time this type of situation happening related to the release of a Vijay film.

Earlier his films like Kavalan and Thalaiva faced the same kind of release issue and Thalaiva even not showed in tamil nadu for almost 2 weeks after an unofficial ban fell on that film due to some political plays against. This time also political interference against the film is doubted as Vijay’s relation to tamil nadu Chief minister Jaya Lalitha is not in smooth terms.
