Pulimurugan beats Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s record in UAE

Superstar Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan has successfully completed 75 days theatrical run across the cinemas of UAE on Monday. The action packed entertainer directed by Vysakh hit screens in UAE on November 3.

On Tuesday, Pulimurugan emerged as the third highest running film at the UAE box office. The movie has successfully overhauled the theatrical run of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s blockbuster movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

The Salman Khan starrer was released for Eid in 2015. The movie enjoyed a theatrical run for 75 days across the cinemas of UAE.

Even after 75 days, Pulimurugan is still running to packed houses across the limited screens in Sharjah and Dubai. The movie is only behind Mohanlal’s 2013 blockbuster Drishyam and the 1997 Hollywood classic Titanic at the UAE box office.

Drishyam holds the record for the highest running film in UAE with 125 days while the classic love story Titanic had a theatrical run of 110 days.

Pulimurugan has so far collected an excellent Rs. 37 crore at the UAE Box Office. It has broken the lifetime collections of many blockbuster Bollywood movies including Aamir Khan’s PK, Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year and Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang

Pulimurugan has crossed the 100 days theatrical run in Kerala. The movie is still running successfully in many thetares across the State. This action packed entertainer was written by Udhayakrishna and directed by Vysakh. Tomichan Mulakupadam produced this movie under the banner Mulakupadam Films.
