Queen : A movie about a girl who joins Mechanical Engineering

A group of youngsters are coming together for a movie about the life of mechanical engineers. The movie titled as Queen will be directed by debutant Dijo Jose Antony.

It is well known among engineers that out of the many streams in engineering, mechanical engineering is considered as a fortress of boys. But Queen is a story about a girl who joins the mechanical engineering stream. The movie will showcase a blend of new faces and seasoned actors and will be a merge of performances from different generations.

Director Dijo Jose Antony has assured that the movie will be an entertainer that will be liked by the audience of all age groups. “The movie will have a refreshingly new flavour of life and would definitely connect with all audiences, engineers and non-engineers alike”, says the director.

Queen is scripted by mechanical engineers Jebin Joseph Antony and Sharis Muhammed. A new production and distribution company Arabian Dreams and Entertainment headed by Rinu and Shibu K Moideen will be producing this movie. Interestingly, both the producers are also mechanical engineers.

“Being in a mechanical engineering batch is a very different experience and this movie will definitely have a signature of its own”, says the producers.

According to reports, this is the most expensive movie starring newcomers in Malayalam cinema. The movie will be made as a bilingual in Tamil and Malayalam. Technicians form both the industries will be part of the technical team.

The movie will start rolling in March, 2017. Casting call will commence soon.
