Queen: Here’s the first look of Gautham Menon’s web series based on Jayalalithaa

As reported by us earlier, a web series is being made based on the life of late Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa. The series has been titled as ‘Queen’ and its first look poster has just been released online. Ramya Krishnan plays
Jayalalithaa’s part in the series. Her younger portions is essayed by Anikha Surendran of ‘Yennai Arindhaal’ and ‘Viswasam’ fame.

‘Queen’ is being directed by two directors – Gautham Vasudev Menon and Prasath Murugesan of ‘Kidari’ fame. Menon has shot the portions featuring Ramya Krishnan, and Murugesan has shot the childhood portions with Anikha Surendran.

Malayali actor Indrajith Sukumaran has done MGR’s part in the series. Actor Vamsi Krishna, known for playing negative roles in movies like ‘Thani Oruvan’ and ‘Thadayara Thaakka’ plays the role of Sobhan Babu. The series, which is an MX Player originals, is penned by Reshma, a former associate of Gautham Menon. It is expected to start streaming this year itself.
