Rahman starts shooting for Ponniyin Selvan; Overwhelmed about sharing screen space with Aishwarya Rai

We had recently reported about Mani Ratnam resuming shoot for his mega-budget film, ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. After almost 8 months of break due to the pandemic, the team is currently shooting at thr Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad. Actor Rahman has joined the sets and shared about the overwhelming experience he had while shooting alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Rahman has written,

Hi friends. Need you good wishes and prayers. I started my first day shoot for the movie “ ponnin selvan “, directed by Maniratnam. At Ramoji Film City Hyderabad. First shot was the the talented gorgeous @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb , am so overwhelmed having to share a screen space with her. Sorry folks , Can not post pics of the shoot as per privacy rules. Later perhaps. #ponninselvan

‘Ponniyim Selvan’ cast includes Vikram, Trisha, Vikram Prabhu, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Kishore, Jayaram, Lal and Ashwin Kakumanu. It remains to be seen if any of the actors have opted out of the project, due to the unexpected change in dates and schedules.
