Raj Kiran makes his Malayalam debut with Mammootty’s Shylock

The official launch of Mammootty’s new film directed by Ajai Vasudev was held today at IMA House in Kochi. Joby George of Goodwill Entertainment is producing the movie, which has been titled as ‘Shylock’. Scripted by newcomers Bibin Mohan and Aneesh Hameed, the movie is said to be an action-packed mass entertainer.

‘Shylock’ has veteran Raj Kiran in a very prominent role. The movie marks his maiden outing in Malayalam. A winner of multiple Tamil Nadu State Awards, Raj Kiran is popular for his roles in films like ‘Sandakozhi’, ‘Pa Paandi’, ‘Muni’, ‘Thavamai Thavamirundhu’ etc. Though the nature of his character is not yet known, it will be interesting to see him share screen space with Mammootty in ‘Shylock’.

Full fledged shoot for the movie is expected to begin by the first week of August. Its core technical crew of ‘Shylock’ comprises of cinematographer Renadive, music director Gopi Sunder, editor Riyas K Badhar and art director Vinod Raveendran.
