Rajinikanth and Venkat Prabhu Set for a New Collaboration with Lyca Productions

According to recent reports, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth and director Venkat Prabhu may soon collaborate on a new film under Lyca Productions. Following the mixed reception of Vettaiyan and its disappointing box-office performance, Lyca Productions seems to be aiming to rebound with this powerhouse combination. Venkat Prabhu, known for his recent directorial success The GOAT, featuring Vijay, has reportedly impressed Rajinikanth, sparking talks for this potential film.

Rajinikanth has explored partnerships with several directors who have worked with Vijay, including Nelson Dilipkumar for Jailer and Lokesh Kanagaraj for the upcoming Coolie, possibly finding a new creative rhythm with these directors.

Lyca Productions, which recently backed Vettaiyan, is enthusiastic about the potential Venkat Prabhu-Rajinikanth team-up, viewing it as an opportunity to recover and build on their association with the superstar. Currently, Rajinikanth is also expected to reprise his role in Jailer 2, a much-anticipated sequel directed by Nelson.

Rajinikanth is now filming for the Lokesh movie ‘Coolie’ and will announce his next soon. ‘Jailer 2’ is said to be his next venture which may start filming once ‘Coolie’ got completed.
