Super star Rajnikanth is all set with his latest release ‘Lingaa’ which will hit the screens worldwide on December 12th. The film is set release in 5000 screens worldwide and it will hit 1000 screens in Tamilnadu and Kerala alone.

The film is directed by None other than K S Ravikumar who made Super Hit film like ‘Padayappa’ with Rajni long ago. The film had to go through various problems from the beginning of its shooting. Still there is cases against the film in Chennai City Civil court and Madras High court. Kerala distribution issue is also there. But the crew is all the way hopeful that the will be able to release the film on December 12th which is also happened to be the Birthday of Super star Rajnikanth.

Rajnikanth is the biggest super star india had ever seen and he his millions of fans worldwide is eagerly waiting for the arrival of ‘Lingaa’ on the birthday of their ‘Thalaiva’. Anushka shetty and Sonakshi Sinha Will play the female leads in the film and Rajnikanth will play dual role in this film. The film is financed by the popular Kannada producer Rockline Venkitesh and will be distributed by erose international. The satellite Right of the film is bought by Jaya TV and the film has already collected a whopping amount of 60 crore rupees by selling its tamil and telugu rights.

In kerala there is still an issue regarding its release because of the huge loss suffered by the distributors of Rajni’s previous film ‘Kochadiyaan’. Distributors want a compensation for the loss they suffered but the makers of ‘Lingaa’ is on the stand that they have nothing to do with the issue of Kochadiyaan as they have no connection with Kochadiyan’s production team. Vendhar Movies will distribute Lingaa in kerala and they said that the film will confirmed to hit the screens in Kerala on December 12th.

The music of Lingaa has done by none other than A R Rahman and the songs were already entered the hit chart. Ratnavelu is the DOP and Sabu Cyril is the art director of the film which need a lot of art work. Editor of the film is Samjith and the film is in news for its awesome insurance amount of 200 crors also.
