Ranbir Kapoor Confirms Animal Trilogy; Sequel Titled Animal Park to Begin in 2027
Ranbir Kapoor has revealed exciting news about director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s plans to expand the Animal universe into a trilogy. The actor confirmed that the sequel, Animal Park, is expected to begin production in 2027, following the director’s current commitments.
Ranbir Kapoor shared details in an interview with Deadline, stating, “Sandeep wants to make it over three parts. The second part is called Animal Park. We’ve been sharing ideas since the first film, and it’s very exciting because I get to play two characters – the protagonist and the antagonist. It’s a unique story, and I’m thrilled to be part of it.” The double-role revelation hinted at during the climax of Animal, has amplified fan anticipation for the sequel.
Animal, released in 2023, emerged as a blockbuster and solidified Kapoor’s position among the highest-grossing stars of the year. Known for its emotional father-son drama and intense action sequences, the film laid a strong foundation for the trilogy.
Ranbir Kapoor also updated Brahmastra Part 2: Dev, confirming Alia Bhatt’s return alongside potential new additions, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. With these revelations, Kapoor has left fans eagerly awaiting the continuation of his cinematic journey.
