Rashmika Mandanna to make her Tamil debut with Karthi’s next

Rashmika Mandanna is unarguably among the current hot favorites of the South Indian audience. The actress, who made her debut in 2016 with the Kannada hit flick ‘Kirik Party’, shot to fame last year with ‘Geeta Govindam’, in which she was paired with Vijay Deverakonda. The song ‘Inkem Inkem’ and the sensational success of the movie won her numerous fans across the South.

Rashmika is now set to make her Tamil debut with a Karthi starrer. Bakkiyaraj Kannan of ‘Remo’ fame will be directing the movie. According to the makers, the movie will be an action cum family drama with a dose of romance. Yogi Babu and Mansoor Ali Khan have also been signed to play crucial roles. SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures is producing the movie. Vivek-Merwin will be composing the music. Shoot for the movie is scheduled to commence from March.

Karthi is currently shooting for a new film helmed by ‘Maanagaram’ fame Lokesh Kanagaraj. He has also signed for a project with Malayali filmmaker Jeethu Joseph, which is scheduled to go on floors by the next half of the year.
