Ravi Mohan to Make Directorial Debut with Yogi Babu in a Comedy Entertainer

Actor Ravi Mohan, formerly known as Jayam Ravi, is set to embark on an exciting new journey as a filmmaker. The seasoned actor, who has appeared in over 35 films, is all set to don the director’s hat for the first time. His debut directorial venture will be a comedy entertainer featuring popular comedian Yogi Babu in the lead role. The project is expected to go on floors in July 2025, though an official announcement is awaited.

Ravi Mohan and Yogi Babu have previously shared screen space in the 2019 hit Comali. This marks a significant shift in Ravi’s career, who earlier this year, officially adopted his birth name and launched his production house, Ravi Mohan Studios. Expressing his gratitude towards cinema, he stated that his new venture aims to support emerging talent and bring meaningful stories to the big screen.

Currently, Ravi Mohan has multiple acting commitments. He is awaiting the release of Genie, a fantasy comedy in which he plays a dual role, and is also working on Karathey Babu. Additionally, he plays a pivotal antagonist role in Sudha Kongara’s highly anticipated period drama Parasakthi starring Sivakarthikeyan.
