Record number of screens for Kayamkulam Kochunni in UAE and GCC; Here’s the theatre list

Kayamkulam Kochunni is all set for a grand release tomorrow (October 11). Going by the screen count, it is most likely to have the biggest ever release for a Malayalam movie. In Kerala alone, the makers are eyeing a whopping 350 plus centres and a whopping 1700 shows on its opening day. Unlike the usual case in Malayalam movies, Kayamkulam Kochunni is getting a simultaneous release in UAE and GCC.

The movie is releasing in a record number of screens in the Middle East. The theatre list has been published by the makers in their official social media handle. As per reports, the movie’s GCC rights have been sold for a huge price. It is said to be the highest ever for a South Indian movie, though the exact figure has not yet been disclosed. Special premiere shows will also be held today (Oct 10), at a few centres.

Kayamkulam Kochunni directed by Rosshan Andrrews is the biopic of legendary highwayman, Kochunni. Nivin Pauly plays the titular role in the movie. Along with Nivin Pauly, the presence of Mohanlal in the cast is the movie’s major selling point. Gokulam Gopalan of Sri Gokulam Films has produced the movie.
