Release postponed; Here’s the list of movies slated to hit screens this Onam season

We are hardly a week away from the official commencement of the much anticipated Onam race. This year, almost all the major stars are having releases. Mohanlal Mammootty, Prithviraj, Nivin Pauly and Dulquer Salmaan were expected to lock horns this season. However, there has been a change in the final schedule as the release of a couple of movies has been pushed.

Dulquer Salmaan’s Parava and Nivin Pauly-Aju Varghese duo’s Lava Kusa are the two movies that have pulled out of the exciting Onam race. Parava, which marks the directorial debut of noted actor Soubin Shahir is said to have been rescheduled for September 14. Lava Kusa’s release date has not yet been confirmed. The movie’s official trailer will be released today.

So, this Onam, it will be battle between veterans and the youth stars. Mohanlal’s Velipadinte Pusthakam, Mammootty’s Pullikkaran Staraa, Prithviraj’s Adam Joan and Nivin Pauly’s Njandukalude Naatil Oridavela are the four movies that are confirmed as Onam releases.

All four movies come in with a baggage of expectations. Theatre owners, distributors and the general audience will be hoping that all four of them find success and earn some big bucks during this prosperous Onam season.
