Would like to remake Manathe Vellitheru, says Farhaan Faasil

Director Faasil’s younger son Farhaan Faasil made his debut in Malayalam film industry through Njan Steve Lopez directed by Rajeev Ravi.

Farhaan played the title character Steve Lopez in the movie. The movie was critically appreciated eventhough it could not reap commercial success.

In a recent interview, Farhaan Faasil revealed that though he is currently concentrating on acting, his ultimate aim is to follow his father’s foot steps and become a director.

Farhaan said that someday he would like to remake his father’s movie Manathe Vellitheru. The movie starring Mukesh, Shobhana, Vineeth and Sreenivasan was a failure in the box office. He added that it is one of his favourite movies and would like to remake it with the new filmmaking styles.

The actor is now playing the lead role in Basheerinte Premalekhanam directed by Aneesh Anwar. The director has made critically acclaimed movies like Zachachariyayude Garbhinikal and Kumbasaram. Sana Althaf is playing the female lead in this romantic entertainer.

Basheerinte Premalekhanam is scheduled to release early next year.
