Renji Panicker, Mukesh and Sai Kumar join Mammootty in CBI 5

‘CBI 5’, the final installment in the popular CBI franchise, is gearing up to go on floors once the restrictions over film shoots are lifted. The film marks the reunion of the trio of Mammootty, director K Madhu and script writer SN Swamy. Mammootty will be reprising his role of the intelligent CBI officer Sethurama Iyer.

Along with him, Mukesh and Sai Kumar will be reprising their respective characters, Chacko and Sathyadas. Latest addition to the cast is Renji Panicker. He will be seen playing a crucial role in ‘CBI 5’. It must be noted that only Mammootty and Mukesh been part of all five installments in the CBI series. Sai Kumar had appeared in the third part ‘Sethurama Iyer CBI’.

Shoot for ‘CBI 5’ shoot was originally planned to begin in June. Since the film demands a lot of outdoor shoot and the involvement of several artists, the makers are waiting for the situation to get better. Swargachithram Appachan is producing the film.
