Reports about Mohanlal being considered for Kattappa in Baahubali are completely baseless

The sequel in the Baahubali series, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is the latest talk of the nation. The Baahubali storm continues to sweep the box office worldwide while closing in on the 1500 crore mark.

While the movie continues to bring more glory to Indian cinema, rumour mills are working over time to spread news about actors who ignored the offer to work in the Baahubali series. After Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham and Nayanthara, the latest reports were about superstar Mohanlal turning down SS Rajamouli’s offer to play the pivotal part of Kattappa.

For the last few days, social medias were flooded with such reports. Apparently, these news are completely baseless sprouting out of someone’s wild imagination. SS Rajamouli had finalised his lead actors, except for the part of Sivagami, during the scripting itself.

For playing the role of Sivagami, the director had approached yesteryear actress Sridevi but she was could not afford dates as she was working on Vijay’s fantasy movie Puli during that time.
