A rumor is spreading now in social media that Premam fame actress Sai Pallavi is all set to do the title character of Ranjith directorial film named Leela, which is based on the short story written by Unni R in the same name. Unni R is writing the screenplay of this film as well. Reports came earlier that Biju Menon will play the male lead in the film as he is chosen by Ranjith and Unni R to play the character of Kuttiyappan. Biju Menon’s participation in the film looks like a confirmed one as there is no denial came from the writer, director or from Biju Menon about this news.

Along with the report of Biju Menon’s participation the film, it has been said earlier that Ann Augustine may do the character of Leela in the film. But later reports came that Rima Kallingal also approached by Ranjith and team. Sai Pallavi’s participation in the film is the latest addition on that list to play the character of Leela, which will be one of the best female character in Malayalam cinema history when it will come on silver screen.

Biju Menon’s latest film Salt Mango tree is receiving positive response from theaters and some other films of him like Anarkkali with Prithviraj and Anuraga Karikkin Vellam with Asif Ali etc coming as well. And as per reports he will be doing a key role along with Mohanlal in upcoming Jibu Jacob directorial film as well. It was he who was the hero of Jibu Jacob’s directorial debut named Vellimoonga which was one of the biggest successes of last year in Mollywood.

Sai Pallavi now going to act as the heroine of Dulquer Salmaan in the upcoming film which will be directed by Sameer Thahir and her participation in Leela can only be considered as a rumor now as no official confirmation has come in this regard. Earlier fake news about her participation in Mohanlal-Major Ravi film and Asif Ali- Sajid Yahiya film also came and spread in social media. There was another fake report about she acting in Nivin Pauly’s Action Hero Biju came as well.
