Santa Maria : Tamil Film of Nivin Pauly got a title at last !

We had already reported that Mollywood young superstar  Nivin Pauly is doing a Tamil film next as hero and it will be directed by debutant Gautham Ramachandran. The film will be a remake of the Kannada film named Ulidavaru Kandante directed by the popular Kannada film maker Rakshit Shetty.

It will be a film based on the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and will be a crime thriller as per reports. Shraddha Srinath is playing the female lead in it as she plays a crime reporter in this movie. The film was untitled when they announced the project with Nivin Pauly and reports says that the crew had at last got a title for this film.

As per the reports coming in from Kollywood, the flick has been titled as Santa Maria. The film had already started its filming and Nivin Pauly will join the film after he completes the first schedule of his Mollywood film directed by Sidharth Siva. The flick is now filming at Tuticorin and portions of actor Natraj is filming there. Actress Lakshmi Priya said to be playing the love interest of the character played by Natraj, who is a boat mechanic in this film.

Alphonse Puthren’s Neram (2013) was the film through which Nivin Pauly had made his debut in Kollywood. But it was a bilingual film.
