Santosh Sivan heaps praise on Nivetha Thomas for her performance in Darbar!

Ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan recently cranked the camera for superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Darbar’. It is his third film with director AR Murugadoss after ‘Thuppakki’ and ‘Spyder’. Santosh Sivan has always been a man of few words but in a recent interview to Sify, the veteran was all praise of actress Nivetha Thomas for her performance in ‘Darbar’.

Nivetha plays the role of Rajinikanth’s daughter in the film. Santhosh Sivan is quoted saying, “Nivetha has a pivotal role and she is a brilliant actress. I was really impressed by her outstanding performance and she will be the dark horse in the film.”

Though Nivetha started her acting career in Malayalam with a State award winning performance in ‘Veruthe Oru Bharya’, she has been more active in other languages of late. She is quite popular in Telugu film industry thanks to the success of her films like ‘Ninnu Kori’, ‘Gentleman’ and more recently ‘Brochevarevarura’.
