Sarath Kumar to star in Madhav Ramadasan’s Tamil debut

Madhav Ramadasan, known for his films like Melvilasom and Apothecary, is all set to make his Tamil debut. Veteran actor Sarath Kumar will be playing the lead in this film, which is yet to be titled. The director made the announcement through his social media handle by sharing a photo taken with Sarath Kumar.

Madhav Ramadasan made his debut in 2011 with ‘Apothecary’ starring Suresh Gopi and Tamil actor R Parthiban. The film won widespread critical appreciation and was also selected for screening at the Busan International Film Festival.

The director followed it up with ‘Apothecary’ in 2014. The medical thriller starring Suresh Gopi, Jayasurya, Abhirami, Meera Nandan, Indrans, and Asif Ali received a Special Jury Mention at the Kerala State Awards. Actors Jayasurya and Indrans won awards at the National and State level, respectively, for their performance in the film.

Madhav Ramadasan’s last release was ‘Ilayaraja’ starring Guinness Pakru in the titular role.
