Sarkar: Here’s the title and first look of Vijay’s next with AR Murugadoss

Tamil superstar Vijay is celebrating his birthday tomorrow and as a treat for his fans, the title and first look of his upcoming movie has been released today. The movie titled as ‘Sarkar’ is directed by AR Murugadoss. This is the actor-director’s third outing together
after the blockbuster hits ‘Thuppakki’ and ‘Kaththi’.

The first look of Sarkar was first aired on Sun TV. This is probably the first time in Tamil cinema history that a movie’s first look is being released directly on a television channel. Sun Pictures is making a comeback to production after a long gap by funding this big budget venture.

Just like Vijay-ARM team’s last two films, Sarkar is also said to be centred around a relevant social issue. Murugadoss himself has scripted the movie and dialogues are penned by noted writer Jeyamohan, who is also the co-writer of 2.O. Vijay is reportedly playing the role of a rich businessman and Keerthy Suresh is paired with him in the movie.

Pala Karuppaiah, a politician in real life, is playing one in the movie as well while veteran Radha Ravi essays the role of a MLA. Along with them, Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar is also playing a brief but very crucial role. Livingston, Yogi Babu, Prem and some other noted actors are also part of the supporting cast.

Sarkar’s technical crew includes Malayali cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, multiple National award winning editor Sreekar Prasad and music maestro AR Rahman. The movie is slated for a grand release this coming Diwali in November.
