Shah Rukh Khan to begin Atlee’s film by 2021-end

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been in talks with Tamil filmmaker Atlee for a very long time. It has been well over a couple of years since discussions began. Latest reports suggest that the film is most likely to go on floors by the end of this year. Shah Rukh Khan is currently working on ‘Pathan’, an action film directed by Siddharth Anand. He is expected to wrap it up before moving on to Atlee’s film.

There are already multiple speculations about the Atlee-SRK film. It is said to be a mass masala entertainer in which Shah Rukh plays a dual role. It is worth a mention that out of the four films helmed by Atlee so far, two of them, ‘Mersal’ and ‘Bigil’, had the lead actor Vijay in dual and triple roles. Even in ‘Theri’, Vijay played a character with two different shades.

Likewise, with his debut Hindi film, Atlee is keen on continuing with his habit of exploring multiple shades of the lead actor. If reports are to be believed, SRK will be seen essaying contrasting characters, both as the hero and as the villain. Rumours are rife that he is playing the part of an investigating officer and a most-wanted criminal.
