Shah Rukh Khan is all praise for Baahubali

While Baahubali is making history in Indian cinema, the Khans of Bollywood kept quiet and did not respond to anything related to this national sensation. Finally, Shah Rukh Khan has decided to end the silence.

The Badshah of Bollywood recently inaugurated the INOX multiplex chain’s new theatre in Mumbai. While talking to the media present there, Shah Rukh was all praise for Baahubali. He compared Baahubali to Hollywood films like Transformers and said ‘our own Baahubali’.

He also appreciated the growth in technology that has enhanced the movie watching experience. He said when wonderful films like Transformers are being made around the world, our own Baahubali is also giving that kind of a cinematic experience.

Baahubali 2, sequel in the Baahubali franchise, has emerged as the highest grossing Indian movie ever. The SS Rajamouli directorial has shown what Indian cinema is capable of and the real potential of our movies in the global market. Above all, Baahubali broke the popular notion that Indian cinema is more than Bollywood.

It toppled the lifetime collections of Aamir Khan’s PK (Rs 792 cr) within it’s first 10 days of it’s theatrical run. The Prabhas starrer has earned over Rs 1200 crores from the worldwide box office. Trade experts firmly believe that the movie will cross the 1500 crore mark very shortly.
