Shane Nigam after Kismath; High expectations for C/O Saira Banu

Shane Nigam, the youngster who moved the audience with his tear jerking performance in last year’s critically acclaimed movie Kismath, will be next seen in C/O Saira Banu.

Shane is playing a major role in the movie alongside veterans Manju Warrier and Amala Akkineni. The movie, directed by Antony Sony is all set to hit screens on March 17

Shane Nigam’s performance in Kismath garnered widespread appreciation from the critics and the audience. Kismath was a comparatively smaller movie with a lesser known cast and crew. It is a story about a Muslim boy who falls in love with an elderly Hindu dalit girl.

Shane and Shruthi Menon played the lead roles in the movie, directed by Shanavas K Baavakutty. Kismath was critically acclaimed and was screened at last year’s IFFK. The director recently won the Kerala State Award for best debut director.

Shane’s performance in the movie grabbed the attention of the audience. He was also seen in a brief role in Rajeev Ravi’s Kammattipadam. Shane is one of the most promising new-gen actors currently in Mollywood. Soubin Shahir’s debut directorial Parava is another project in his kitty.

C/O Saira Banu stars Manju Warrier in the title character, as a post woman. Yesteryear actress Amala Akkineni is playing the role of advocate Annie John Tharavady. She is making a comeback to Mollywood after a gap of 25 long years through this movie.

The movie promises to be a feel good entertainer dealing with a mother-son relationship. RJ Shaan has scripted the movie and the dialogues are written by Bibin Chandran.

Abdul Rahim has handled the camera while Sagar Dass is in charge of the edits. Mejo Joseph is the music director. Eros International has bank rolled the movie.
