Shocking ! Movies like Kabali, Bairavaa, Singam 3 and many others were commercial failures

We had earlier reported that distributors in Tamil Nadu are unhappy with the performance of Vijay’s Bairavaa and Suriya’s Singam 3. They have accused the producers for over hyping these movies by producing fake collection reports.

More shocking revelations are on its way after a Whatsapp audio clip by Subramaniam, a distributor from the Coimbatore region has gone viral. He has alleged that many movies that were declared to be superhit successes were actually huge failures at the box office. The movies include Rajinikanth’s Kabali, Vijay’s Bairavaa, Suriya’s Singam 3, Sivakarthikeyan’s Remo, Karthi’s Kaashmora, Vishal’s Kaththi Sandai, Jayam Ravi’s Bogan and Dhanush’s Thodari and Kodi.

According to him, Kabali was a flop at the box office and Sivakarthikeyan’s Remo was successful only in two centres. The claims of Bairavaa and SI3 doing over Rs 100 crore business was fake and over hyped.

Subramaniam has said that Tamil film industry is the only industry where failures are being celebrated. Of late, many producers follow the practice of having success meets and parties. Some of these films claim that they collected Rs 100 crore and stars distribute presents to crew members.

While the producers claim of Rs 100 crore collections and hold success parties, distributors are facing huge losses. Distributors and theatre owners in Tamil Nadu are coming together to stop this trend. They have clarified that their association has not put a red card to any stars but their members are unable to bear losses anymore.
