Shoot for Mammootty starrer The Priest resumes!

After a gap of over 6 months due to the pandemic, the makers of Mammootty starrer ‘The Priest’ have resumed shoot. The film directed by debutant Jofin T Chacko is said to be a mystery thriller. Shoot was in the final stages when the nationwide lockdown was announced.

‘The Priest’ brings together Manju Warrier and Mammootty for the first time ever. While Mammootty has already finished shooting for his portions, Manju Warrier still has a few scenes to be completed. The cast also includes Nikhila Vimal, Saniya Iyappan, Baby Monica of ‘Kaithi’ fame, Jagadheesh, Ramesh Pisharody, ‘Karikku’ fame Ameya Mathew, ‘Nayika Nayakan’ fame Venkitesh and Tony Luke in important roles.

On the technical front, the film has Akhil George as the cinematographer and Rahul Raj as the music director. Shameer Muhammed is handling the edits. The film is jointly produced by Anto Joseph, B Unnikrishnan and VN Babu.
